A treat for me and for you, today I am sharing the beautiful wedding of my good friends Daniel and Octavia, who used the same photographer as I did, Max McClure.

Their day was the best, a huge reunion for me and so many friends from university, it was a party!

The wedding was at Folly Farm just outside of Bristol and the inspiration behind the day was the traditional British village fete… it really was beautiful… this is a long post, I edited the photos as much as I could but they are too stunning.

Enjoy.

Her bridesmaids were all in bright yellow, the little ones in white with dark red capes. The headdresses are the cutest touch…

I was about 3 months pregnant at this wedding, and it was a serious party… I still had the most amazing day… these two are good people and the love from our crew was immense!

Huge congratulations once again to Dan and Ocky and a big thank you for letting me share… massive wedding inspiration here!

Also thank you to Max McClure who of course I highly recommend.

ALSO please check their wedding video… it is insanely amazing… I cannot stop watching it and that song always makes me think of them both and their special day now.

The Busy Trap

August 6, 2012

There was a lot of talk about this article a few weeks ago… I have only just got around to reading the whole thing. You should too…

“Idleness is not just a vacation, an indulgence or a vice; it is as indispensable to the brain as vitamin D is to the body, and deprived of it we suffer a mental affliction as disfiguring as rickets. The space and quiet that idleness provides is a necessary condition for standing back from life and seeing it whole, for making unexpected connections and waiting for the wild summer lightning strikes of inspiration — it is, paradoxically, necessary to getting any work done.”

New York Times Article: The ‘Busy’ Trap, by Tim Kreider

I totally agree, I used to thrive on being busy now I go crazy when I don’t get some down time.

Beautiful LA House

March 7, 2011

This is GORGEOUS!

I love the use of greens in the rooms, it looks like a really relaxing, peaceful place to be.

With a beautiful deck, I can see myself sitting in the shade with a book waiting for guests to arrive before having a BBQ with friends in the sunshine

Design Sponge as usual giving me all kinds of inspiration (and jealousy)

Swoon!
