My Hen – Girls Day Out

August 9, 2011

This is a selfishly long post, mostly for me to re-cap my gorgeous girly hen-day with my bridemaids, read on and scan the thousands of photos if you want!

I woke up to this beautiful day!

Chose my outfit…

And was greeted at the door with a pretty balloon and my girls!

Then escorted to the first secret location for breakfast…

Then off to the station with hampers, my guess was we were off for a picnic, but no one would tell me where…

Then we got off at Bath!

And walked to our next secret location, as soon as I saw these I guessed what we were doing… cue excited little screams from me!

Even better we had our very own boat, and we had to drive… steer? Correct terminology please!

We all look a bit scared!

Apart from Sofi, who had time to pose!

I loved our little boat!

We made our way to a nice view then moored up for a picnic…

With pink bubbles…

And dib dabs!

So much food! Highlight being Rachael’s sausage rolls…

… and the cutest cakes in the world!

We spent the rest of the time being so relaxed, you can’t go very fast on a canal so its proper chill time.

We mostly looked at the cute houses and gardens…

… and enjoyed the lovely views…

… negotiated bridges…

And dreamt of having a boat of our very own…

…with bunting!

Got stuck on the bank and had to punt ourselves away again… during fits of giggles…

Then stopped at a pub for more refreshment…

We made lots of friends…

This is Buzz…

Before I took us back… and Hannah watched out for other boats!

Then we went for cocktails and Pimms in the sun…

Before heading back to Bristol…

For more fun and even more food!
